For the first three weeks of the 2022-23 season, the goal is to get every wrestler 2-3 quality matches with wrestlers in their own age group and skill level. During weekly events, we will indentify a varsity lineup to fill 15 weight classes which will compete in a team duals. For the team duals, weight classes will be: 43, 49, 54, 59, 63, 68, 73, 78, 84, 90, 98, 105, 115, 130, HWT (up to 175lbs).

The balance of the team will compete in a 4-man round robin format unless the number of participants require adjustments on a week-to-week basis. For the round robin, the league will utilize the  following criteria when building brackets:

• Age Groups: K-3rd, 4th-6th
• No weight classes. Wrestlers will be in brackets 10% above to 10% below their certified weight. Certified weights must be completed prior to season with a licensed referee. (Will be done at practice.)
• A minimum of 2 mats will be utilized at each event. 
• All bracketing paperwork will be completed at scoring table
• Team rosters due by Noon CST the Saturday prior to the Sunday event.
• Completed brackets will be emailed to Coaches by 11 a.m. on Sunday prior to Sunday’s event.

The 8-man brackets will be determined by a blind draw conducted by the League President. Any wrestlers not wrestling at Team Dual Championship are invited to participate. The following criteria will be utilized when building brackets:

• Age Groups: K-3rd, 4th-6th
• Weight Classes (JV Only)
  • K-3: 43, 48, 53, 56, 59, 62, 67, 71, 77, 85, 93, HWT
  • 4-6: 59, 63, 67, 71, 78, 86, 93, 98, 105, 120, 135, HWT
  • Individual tournament format - double elimination
• Maximum of 8 wrestlers per bracket (could be multiple brackets per weight class.
• A minimum of 4 mats will be utilized. 
• All bracketing paperwork will be completed at scoring table
• Team rosters due by Noon CST the Saturday prior to the Sunday event.
• Completed brackets will be emailed to Coaches by 11 a.m. on Sunday prior to Sunday’s event.
• Awards for 1st-8th place.

  • Individual and League Champions crowned
